Portage Free Methodist Kids

Gather

Each Sunday is an opportunity for kids to come together as the body of Christ to learn Bible Truths.

NURSERY: 6 WEEKS TO 2 YEARS

The nursery staff at pfmkids looks forward to caring for your child and providing a loving environment to teach babies and toddlers about Jesus. Through interactive activities such as rocking infants, reading books, listening to music, and dancing with toddlers; the PFM nursery keeps the youngest members of pfmkids engaged and excited to come back each week.

Nursery is available during the 9am and 11am services.

PRESCHOOL: 2 YEARS TO KINDERGARTEN

The preschool-aged kids at PFM experience each Sunday from the perspective of a Superhero. Each week preschool kids enter into a new world of Bible learning as they put on a cape and hero badge to learn about the various heroes of the Bible. As kids rotate between the Hero Lab, the Hero Academy, and the Hero Factory they learn the week’s lesson through interactive play, crafts, Bible stories, music, and games.

Preschool is available during the 9am and 11am services.

ELEMENTARY 1ST GRADE TO 5TH GRADE

Downstairs in our Kids Creek area, elementary-aged kids learn how the message of Christ’s redeeming grace is woven throughout the Bible. Kids are immersed in the gospel through every Bible story, concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Pfmkids learn that heart transformation can only take place when they experience the gospel.
Each week begins with an energetic time of worship and praise with the large group. Following the large group message, each grade level breaks into small groups for a more in depth study of the lesson and a time of discussion.

Elementary is available during the 9am and 11 am services.

SPECIAL SHEPHERDS CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: 6 WEEKS TO 5TH GRADE

The Special Shepherd program at pfm is a program to assist students who have difficulties in the classroom. These students may or may not be diagnosed with a disability. These children could have had a change in family dynamics, a recent loss of a loved one, a move, change in school, or even parents changing jobs. These children may have a temporary, short term, or a long term issue.  Every Special Shepherd Leader at pfm is trained to serve children with a higher level of difficulty functioning without support.

Special shepherds are available during the 9am and 11am services.

Group

Each age level, 2 years through 5th grade, is grouped together for developmentally appropriate lessons and discussion.
